Sony has announced that it will soon discontinue the free PlayStation Camera adapter for PS VR, which allows users to connect the original PS4 camera to their PS5 console. The adapter is essential for using the original PlayStation VR headset on the PS5, as the headset relies on light-based tracking, and the PS5's own HD Camera accessory is not compatible.

According to Sony’s support page, the free adapter will no longer be available starting November 26, 2024, or until supplies run out. To claim one before the cutoff, users can request the adapter through a specific online form, or, as noted by Wario64, by calling Sony Support at 1-800-345-7669. When requesting an adapter, you'll need the serial number from the PS VR processing unit.
