Overwatch 2 Season 11 will see the return of Cassidy's Flashbang grenade and other hero changes yet to be revealed. Starting on Thursday, June 20, Blizzard has been unveiling details about what fans can expect from the new season.

The theme for Overwatch 2 Season 11 is Super Mega Ultrawatch, bringing a new Battle Pass filled with skins fitting the theme. Alongside the new content, the season will introduce balance changes for various heroes. While Blizzard hasn't provided extensive details, it has confirmed the return of a fan-favorite Cassidy ability.

Cassidy's Magnetic Grenade will be replaced with a "new and improved" Flashbang designed to "slow foes in their tracks." The exact mechanics of this new Flashbang are yet to be revealed. If it functions as it did before—interrupting abilities and immobilizing characters—it could potentially be overpowered in the 1 Tank setup, but that remains to be seen. Additionally, Season 11 will bring significant changes to the Colosseo Push map, removing glass from various parts to give players more freedom in tackling objectives.

Overwatch 2 will also see adjustments to weekly challenges. Players will have the opportunity to catch up on missed challenges before moving on to new ones, with completing three weekly challenges earning 20,000 XP. These changes to weekly challenges are likely to be well-received, while the change to Cassidy may get mixed reactions. As for the Colosseo map changes, fans will need to experience the revamped map firsthand to form opinions.

Although Season 11 promises a lot of new content, fans may notice the absence of Clash, a new game mode initially expected to debut this season. Blizzard has not mentioned Clash, indicating that players might have to wait until Season 12 or later to experience it.
